The Most Wonderful Time …
Of the year. And no I don’t mean Christmas (although it does tie in with it). From September to December I experience my favorite time of the year. Forget the frigid beginning of the year or the sweltering heat of the middle of the year. Give me the last part of the year. When the weather starts cooling down, the leaves start changing and we stat covering up skin. When we get the anticipation for Halloween, Thanksgiving, The Christmas in back to back months. There is always something this time of year to be looking forward to. And on top of that I have to look forward to my mom, son and I’s yearly autumn trip to Myrtle beach and my husband and I’s annual winter getaway to Bent Creek Lodge.
Although I have been to Myrtle beach many times I still get excited when I plan to go with my mother and son. We keep busy doing things and going to places and just have an all over great time. And Bent Creek Lodge is the perfect B&B romantic getaway. It is very secluded, the only thing around is nature. The place isn’t your typical froufrou B&B with stuffy decor, it has lovely rustic feel to it.
Life seems much sweeter when you have a lot of things to look forward to. Unfortunately the things you look forward to the move come and go faster then you would have liked. And before I know it will all be over and life will go back to its boring, uneventful self.
Update
I am very disappointed to hear that I might not be able to get us a room at the B&B. It looks like a group of Canadians might be filling up all the rooms. She told me she is doubtful about them staying because they are doubtful that they are coming down. They have till Friday (tomorrow) to let her know and she will contact me to let me know. Fingers crossed here because I have so been looking forward to going.
What’s Goin On
So a bit has happened in my life since I last had this site up and running.
I finally, after much despair and desperation, snagged myself a job in the billing department of a major clinical laboratory company. I have a fancy title, Accounts Receivable Specialist, that makes me sound more important than I really am. My main job is keying bills in the morning and researching for missing/needed information for bills the rest of the day. I really enjoy my work and especially the people I work with. At work everyone in our department is broken down in teams of 6 or so people, each team doing a different region in the U.S. southeast . My team is made up of some really great people and we have a lot of fun. There is but one thing I don’t like and it is not the fault of the company or my co-workers. Sometimes when calling certain accounts they are either rude to you or you are transferred to every person under the sun and never get the answer you are looking for. Thankfully these are a rare occurrence.
And my son has now entered into his terrible twos, he turned 2 on July 25. It seems that before my eyes my little baby has turned into this big toddler that stands before me. He is starting to have those tantrums I have been hearing about. And he pouts, does he ever pout. When he doesn’t get what he wants he runs off into a corner somewhere, all the while making his whiny pouting noise, and hides his face in the corner just “cries.” It is the cutest thing ever. He was a bit behind on speaking but he is really started to add words to his vocabulary. His favorite words are “balloon” and “car”. Speaking of cars that is his favorite thing to play with him. This little man is ALL boy.
I couldn’t imagine loving someone the way I love him, I now know the true meaning of unconditional love. Even when he makes me want to pull my hair out in frustration my love for him doesn’t falter or waiver.
A Comeback …. Sorta
As you can see I am finally getting something up on the site. I have been paying for the domain so I need to not just let it sit here collecting dust. It will mroe than likely take awhile for me to get everything up and running. There just isn’t enough time in the day any more to work hours at a time on this site;however, I plan to try and blog often on here until then.
